Celeb Sighting!

Check it out!

Celebs are now flocking towards Micalla's incredible designs and can't get enough! American Idol Judge, Kara DioGuardi was spotted at the 67th Golden Globes "after-party" wearing a Micalla necklace. Actress Ashley Newborough was also seen sporting one of Micalla's designs at the 2009 Bell Celebrity Gala.

Check out Micalla's Facebook Page to see more of Camilla's pieces on celebrities.

Here's a question for you.. What do you think of celebrity endorsements?

Yeah, it's always exciting to have a celebrity endorse your brand, but does it evoke a "too good for the average woman" kind of message? Will the individual with an average income shy away from the company, thinking "I could never afford this"?

Take a look at some of Camilla Jorgensen's designs on her website, www.micalla.com, and let us know what you think.

  1. Celebrities are our friends who have everything we want and who are everything we want to be. Whether the average person is willing to admit it or not they become emotionally attached to celebrities, often referring to them as if they personally knew the celebrity in question. Celebrity endorsements take advantage of people's ability to create such strong emotional connections with celebrities and turn it into cash, year after year.

"In total about 15% of the 2010 Grammy ads featured celebrity endorsements, 150% spike from last year".( Annual study by Greenlight). It seems that top brands are once again partnering with celebrities and I'm sure they have some very valid marketing research to support their decisions.

  2. Celebrity endorsements definitely help get the brand noticed, especially if it's a new up and coming product. People are drawn to celebrities and their way of life.

I don't find that the endorsements provide a message of "too good for the average woman" but rather make the average woman feel like a star. The ability to afford it or not is irrelevant - fashion magazines often offer cheaper substitutes for the clothing and accessories worn by celebrities.
